ABOUT US

The WFA FFL is the only Fantasy Football League on the net today that offers all the explosive fun and edge of your seat high scoring system on the web. As far as Fantasy Football games on the net, the WFA FFL is the cream of the crop. It is powered by commissioner.com and is ran in affiliation with CBS.sportsline.com. This site is the only site that offers a double rollover draft every year. There are two conferences of ten teams. Each conference is placed in a draft to assure the members that they will have the best chance at getting some of the top NFL players the league has to offer. Unlike some other websites where there leagues have a meager 10 to 12 teams this site offers a full season schedule of 20 teams going head to head for 14 weeks of the NFL season. The last 3 weeks of the season is spent in the WFA playoffs. where everyone is a winner. The WFA will pay cash and Trophy prizes to all who make the Playoffs. The WFA champion is determined between the TWO conference champions. The WINNER OF THE WFA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME will get a x-large trophy a championship T-Shirt, a paid membership for the next WFA FFL season, as well as the same great prizes that come with the membership packages issued at the beginning of the season.

At the beginning of the season after you pay $17.50 for your membership, you will get a WFA FFL Calender to hang on your wall. You will also recieve a WFA Medallion medal customized by the WFA. You will also get a Custom WFA FFL season t-shirt so you can wear your membership with pride.

The more members we get here at the WFA FFL, the larger the prizes will get. The more prizes the Happier the members so remember to tell your friends all about the WFA FFL upcoming season. If the WFA FFL recieves more than 20 applications for membership we will expand into a WFA FFL 2 and all additional members will be placed on a waiting list,(before payment of coarse). Once the waiting list gets to 16-20 teams the WFA FFL 2 will be launched. SO if you do not make it into the WFA FFL, due to membership restraints, dont be alarmed, the WFA FFL2 will follow shortly behind.

THe last thing I have to ask you is this," are you ready to get on the war field with 20 other men and woman and pound out the season in search of the Division or Conference lead? Well you better be reaching for the Championship baby, because everyone else is. Come the beginning of the 2002 NFL season the WFA FFL 2002 will be launched and you better hold on to your helmets because it is going to be fast, furious, and unmerciful. This is not just a Fantasy Game, this is the WHOLE DAMN GAME!! the WFA FFL 2002 season be there...

The WFA FFL DRAFT INFORMATION
The WFA FFL innaugural Fantasy Draft sets will be held during the summer of 2002. This will allow for the Rookies drafted in this years drafts to be signed by the NFL teams. The 2002 Draft season will be as follows:

-2 drafts one for each conference in the WFA FFL
-20 Draft rounds consisting of 10 teams per round
-Draft position will be determined by a random lottery. this lottery is called the WFA "Lethal Lottery".
- This lottery will be a team owner attended chat meeting TBA at a later date. If a team owner is not present at this meeting, they will be penalized to the back of the order. In the case of mulitiple team owners not attending, the teams will be penalized in the order they are drawn from the lottery.
- Upon the chance that less then 20 teams are bought during the off season, or there is at anytime less then 20 teams in the Association, a Computer picking system will be set for this team, and the team will be sold at a later date with the current roster.(see Buying and Selling of Teams)

After the Innaugural Draft of 2002, the following seasons will be drafted by these terms:
-There will be a Rollover Draft every year. This means that a team may select 10 players they wish to protect from the draft. This will leave another 10 players on their individual teams that are not protected. These Players will be placed into a "Draftable" pool that will be the focus of that years draft. Each team will be entering 10 players into the Draft.
-If a Team fails to notify the WFA of their protected players, these players will be chosen by these criteria: The Current active players at the end of the season will then be declared Protected and the reserves will be taken as Unprotected, two players from each team that is listed as reserve will also be protected at random. This will make up the total of 10 players.
-Draft position will be based on the same process as the NFL. That is to say that the Champion will be placed tenatively last in the first round order, and then randomly selected during the last 9 rounds. The team that has the worst record in the WFA will thus get the number one draft pick for that season and so on. This is unless a new expansion team is deemed by the front office and the Owners association, this team will then inherit the number one draft pick that season.
-Once again there will be two drafts marked per league. One draft per conference.(10 teams per draft).

Buying and Selling/Trading of teams
The initial sale of a team will be marked down in the WFA FFL registry/history as will every sale and purchase there after. The WFA FFL will allow the purchase of expansion teams on a scale of one team per owner per league. This fee for buying an expansion team will be a listed price of $17.50 per year owned. That being said, If you wish to later sell your team, you must contact the WFA FFL front office and place this team up for sale. The Price of the team at this point will be determined by the prior season finish in the standings and the overall Worth of the team. because a team is not just a name, it is sold in the WFA FFL, handing over the entire current roster, draft rights, and any sponsors that might have been acrued during the former owners tenure. This will also take place if a former owner of a team does not re-sign for another years membership.
In a case of two team owners that want to trade entire teams during the off season, this will be permitted on a case by case basis, as approved by the Front office. The trading of teams will be whole trades,(rosters, logos, draft rights, sponsors, ect.) unless otherwise discussed in the trade agreement. A trade will only be conducted upon the discression of the Commissioner, and on a one time basis per membership year.
A team that is to be sold by the WFA FFL for abandon of membership will be placed up for sale on this website. It will be offered to current members first, and then offered to perspective members (New Members). The current prices will be placed on a abandoned team by the Front office: Low tier team (losing team) $17.50; Mid Tier team (average teams) $20.00; Top tier team ( winning team) $25.00.
These charges will be only one time charges during the purchasing year. The following years of ownership will be charged at base membership of $17.50 per year.

INTERACTIVE NEW FEATURES
The WFA FFL has worked long hard hours coming up with a new system of features that will make the Fantasy football game more interactive. We have come up with a brand new system called "Virtu-Dollars".
The "Virtu-Dollar" system will be in place at the beginning of the 2002 season. This system is best discribed as an interactive fantasy salary cap.
Upon the purchase of your team the WFA FFL will give you two Virtu-Dollar accounts. The first one will be your Salary Cap. This Fund will consist of $150 Virtu-Dollars. This will be in place to ensure against a player monopoly by any given team. Each NFL player will be issued a Virtu-Dollar value, on a scale of $1-$10. During the draft or during free-agent pick ups, your "Salary Cap" fund will depleat upon a purchase of a player. Upon average this would allow a team to purchase 20 players for $7.5. This would be an average player. However, for example if a team wishes to purchase Peyton Manning, they would pay $9.5 virtu-Dollars for him, this would in turn drop one of his later picks to less then the $7.5 average. If a team owner does not spend all of their Viru-Dollars on the draft, it will be placed in a Salary Cap fund for that team. It is then drawn from through out the year by the purchase of free agents. If you waive a player or a player become injured, your team will be compensated for that player 75% of the Virtu-Dollar value. This will be placed back into the Salary Cap fund. Every year the Salary Cap will be re-evaluated, and the players that are unprotected by the draft will no longer be on payroll for that team. So their initial Virtu-Dollar Value will be placed back into the fund, for re-drafting using the rollover draft method previously discussed.
Another option that can be done during the Draft with this money, is the trading of Virtu-Dollars for draft positions. This will also be subject to approval by the Front office and the Owners Committee.
Also included in the Salary Cap system will be a reward for records. This will be issued by the following criteria:
-Winning the Division Championship +$10
-Winning the Conference Championship +$15
-Winning the WFA FFL Championship +$25
-Winning the WFA FFL Points Championship +$10
These Virtu-Dollar AWARDS will be added to the current salary cap for that given team, in addition to any other award amount that is given to the team. an Example of this system is: the EAGLES win the Division Championship and recieves an AWARD of $10virtu-dollars, then they win the Conference Championship. This brings their awards to $25viru-dollars(10+15=25) But they lose the WFA FFL Championship game, but win the WFA FFL Points Championship (10+15+10=35) this would bring their total award amount to $35 virtu-dollars.

The second Fund will be "Marketing" this fund is primarily just for entertainment value. This fund will be initially consisting of just $10 virtu-Dollars. This fund will allow the Owner to select up to two sponsors for his/her team and or E-Stadium. These sponsors will be listed along with their Value, at a later date on a link that will be placed on this pages side bar (Sponsor form). This will allow for either one great sponsor, or two Average sponsor name, You will also periodically be offered a new sponsorship by a sponsor, notified via emails, this is purely at random, and will be based on the teams performance and history. Upon purchasing of a certain sponsor, this might make your logo change, your team colors, your slogans, a number of things can change depending on the sponsor that is choosen.
This also will have a rewards system in place. These rewards will be placed in the account, but can not be used until the following season. These rewards are:
+$1 for each Win
-$1 for each lose
+$0 for each Tie
+$5 for a Div. Title
+$5 for a Conf. Title
+$10 for a League Title
+$7 for a Points Title
This additional Virtu-Dollars will be placed in the teams funds and retrieved during the off season or the beginning of the next season. This fund will also be used to pay for upgrades to the team such as, a different team name(subject to approval)($50).
Remember the Virtu-Dollar system is purely for entertainment value to the game and is not meant to hurt or violate any personal feelings of self worth and or team worth. This is also not meant to violate the sponsors copyrights.
